One Next Right Thing
If you live with chronic or long-standing depression and also struggle with weight or weight dysregulation—often reflected by a BMI greater than 25—you are not alone. Metabolic mood syndrome describes the way chronic depression and metabolic dysregulation reinforce each other over time, with loneliness and nervous system stress deepening the cycle. This is not a single chemical imbalance—and it cannot be healed through one intervention alone. If you have Metabolic Mood Syndrome you have probably suspected that your mood, weight and lonliness are connected.
One Next Right Thing is a relational, holistic intervention designed to support healing across multiple domains at once. The program integrates neuroscience, somatic and trauma-informed practices, and the five pillars of healing that influence both mood and metabolism:
- Sleep
- Nutrition
- Movement
- Healing practices
- Connection
Healing happens through small, sustainable steps, chosen for what is realistic, tolerable, and supportive for you. No extremes. No shame. No rushing. Consistent, steady healing in a warm, supportive, private community.
One Next Right Thing is for people who:
- Experience chronic depression alongside weight struggles or weight dysregulation
- Have a BMI greater than 25 and feel caught in a cycle of mood and metabolic distress
- Feel stuck despite therapy, medication, or lifestyle efforts
- Are hesitant about psychiatric medication, or considering tapering with medical guidance
- Want a science-informed, trauma-aware, relational approach to healing
- Simply want to feel better physically and emotionally
